Waking Nightmare

Sleeping surrounded
Sister, sister, Spirit
Frightened beyond belief
A feeling that consumes

Utterly afraid
And the turmoil inside
Is killing the peace
And she can’t even cry

Ripping her self out of bed
She checks the time
Darting down the stairs
Warnings of danger accompany her

Stopping at the top of the rail
She glimpses the time
4:02 stares at her in green
A time she didn’t expect

Walking into her parents room
She wakes her mother
And tells her she can’t sleep
Mother says is to count herself to sleep

But she asks if she could just stay
And her mother knows
The girl is afraid
And so she lets her daughter stay

For an hour the daughter prays
Thinking herself into sleep
And then the light comes
And she wanders exhausted to her room

I really liked the flow, but i'm not so sure i followed what was happening...care to explain?

So no more hiding all your pain, you deserve a new start. That's why i'm closing myself away, this is a message from your heart.

well it wasn't a nightmare b/c it was real. it was mainly feelings, but i just felt so afriad. and helpless. like it was something i couldn't control. i did, however, finally go to my parents room and slept there for an hour, something i hadn't done since before i can rememeber.
