When we sat outside in the summer breeze Did you mean what you said? Looking up at the glowing trees, It felt like everything was all mixed up in my head. I’ve given your heart eternal shine, But yet you still won’t be mine. Always staying just short of love, I thought I was watching from up above. Never thought it was so hard to care For a boy that would forever be there. Our unspoken thoughts for each other, Would never be told to one another. Yet, we were both always ready to share, What our hearts couldn’t begin to bare. Both living right out of a story book, It was never quite as easy as it might look. |
