These children are on the streets
because america crushed their dreams.
we funded the civil war
and caused their scars.

Our blood money let the guerrilla fighters kill.
The fathers and mothers and sisters now nil
the children they knew are without a home ,
so they turn to the street, and suffer alone.

This abuse is not committed by the criminals but by the police.
These children are more so the victims than anyone  I see.
Because our country we love and are so happy to represent
chose to create this monster, they die, and no words are said.

If this means anything to you
say something , this is true
speak up and use your words.
It is time for them to be heard

I thought the message within was too true. However it dident seem to flow right and the poem itself was rendered weak.
None the less, good job

My mind is like lightning
One brilliant flash and its gone
