Tonight I Wanna Cry

My tears dampen this page as I begin to write
The stars sparkle brightly now that day has become night
The curtains are closed the doors firmly locked
And just for a second the whole world seems shocked

There are empty bottles of whiskey stacked against the door
As I search for another bottle I realize there isn’t anymore
I prayed to god that the pain would go away
Somebody would come and hug me and make it all okay
But nobody’s here and they aren’t coming back
Because I pushed them away and reached for another bottle of jack

I stand up for the first time in days
It isn’t good enough to return to my old ways
I grab my jacket and unlock the door
The neighborhood stands waiting for me to hit the floor

The beach seemed further than it ever had before
Maybe that’s because I didn’t know the route anymore
But there sitting on the beach was a guy in which I knew
As I approached him he looked at me and said, “I’ve been waiting for you”

Here we sit upon the beach in my comfort zone
My head on his shoulder as we watch the waves come home
I cant control the thoughts in my head
And every single one of them makes me wish I were dead
And I keep thinking of the best way to die
But now things seem different because tonight …. I WANNA CRY!!

Nope wrong it's kieth Urban. But it's nothing like the poem this poem is so much more I can feel the pain and hurt. hope you are doing better...

Thankyou everyone its hard to face each day but knowing that by putting all my hurt and my pain into poetry its giving somebody else enjoyment and thats what ella would want... Buttercup Baby i wold be hounered if u wanted to write a song out of it..

very beautiful i liked it alot the struggle that was put down on the page and it read nice just a very beautiful write
