Caught once again between the two of you guys One across and one besides me, where fun lies You’re having too much fun playing with my hair Making my hair like “Princess Leia’s”- we have no care Our hands touch as I untangle your twirling hands I hold them longer as I playing-ly scold your plans You smile and twirl my hair again, an odd sensation We’re all there, with no bickering- what an occasion! Our teacher scolds us- and I shut her up, this is our time You smile knowing what I’ve done, the other guy whines Today is a good day; we’ve had lots of smiles and amusement Being with both of you still gives me a little bit of confusement We are all talking now- my hair’s a complete mess from their play The one across smiles and in doing so has completely made my day |
