I almost see who I once was so long before
Young and free not knowing what was in store
Now I’m bloody and hurting with real pain
This time there’s no one to pin to all the blame

It was me, yes- I killed all I wanted for myself
My fault, my try, to right the things back to health
I feel so stupid, how could I have ever thought . . .
I wanted so much- but it was all that you’re not

I feel so ashamed- I look down so I don’t see
That all the while you have been staring at me
I look up- the hurt must be on my sad sorry face
Compassion radiates in your wonderful countenance

So you are more than I thought you were
Kind and caring I see, you are it- I’m sure

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it
everyday."
