My Mind's Eye

I feel so very funny thinking about you today
As I sometimes let my mind wander as I lay
Wondering if you have thought of me as well
Darling you are better than your friend from hell

Believing in hope, I watch you in my mind’s eye
You creating a song on your guitar- or at least you try
Talking to me in my day-like dream you whisper gently
You get no reply of course and so you heave a sigh softly

Writing quickly still in my mind- I see the letter is for me
Looking up I see you are examining the room- nothing you see
I awake to find my self in my same self room, half out of bed
There’s something in my hand- I open it up the envelope I shred

The letter you wrote is there- by means I can’t attain
A curious thing it is- for all the letter says is my name

I love your ending.. it is astounding,brilliant.. I think this is my favorite poem by you. .Everything just came together.

thanks rhia and pen and to answer your question the othe guy his "friend" is just well it was written in a way that he would know what i'm talking about. his friend had a thing for me. he's the main charater in some of my other poems.
