I can see you all now,
The memory fresh in my mind,
Just as if it was happening before my very eyes.
I can see you all laughing until your stomach muscles start to hurt,
And your faces begin to ache,
I can see the pure pleasure that rests upon your satisfied cheeks,
Oh how I wish to be that way once again…

I recall myself sat in the corner,
Alone, quiet and exhausted,
Exhausted from the sheer subjection weighing down on my shoulders,
And the immense feeling of rejection tugging at my heart strings,
The tears start to prick the back of my eyes,
I can’t bare it anymore.
I wipe my tear stained cheeks hoping to obliterate all evidence of my misery,
But it doesn’t matter…
Because nobody notices…

I’ve seemed to have forgotten how to speak,
How to communicate,
How to have fun,
People look at me, waiting for me to say something,
But nothing escapes my lips,
I try to smile and look away, but that feeling,
That feeling of loneliness and rejection,
Is still all there…

Realy strong poem, I can feel your emotions, mainly pain & sadness , when I read it.
But remember, even if you think you're alone, there's always someone looking over you, feeling the same way you do, understanding you...

I don't wish to be everything to everyone, but I would like to be something to someone.
