Not in a long time hunnie It's been awhile since I let my teardrops fall, but my tears don't know my heart at all, I tried so hard to keep them locked away, but it wasn't that hard until today, I never wished for you to make me sad, but you did, I cracked and it made me mad, you drew me in, made me cry, a fugitive tear escaped my eye, It felt hot underneath my lids, will I break or not? start the bids, then they flew out and fell to the ground, it killed me to know I had lost this round, Mom, now I know, I feel your pain, you have a sobering effect to make me sane, 'cause sharing our tears was not done in awhile, we are family again, it made me smile, It has never happened this rough before, there was this sharp pain I couldn't ignore, shedding my tears made me realize I have not done this, not in a long time. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war and a time for peace ~Ecclesiastes 3:8~ |

hey, i really think rhia was right about this one, i have never actually cried with a parent but, i can imagine what its like just by reading the poem. i loved the feeling of truth in this piece! |
