I’m lost in the darkness again,
Walking through these empty hallways,
That seem to have no end.

It seems forever I’ve been searching,
For a way out of this place,
But I just keep on going in circles,
Forever lost in space.

I’ve lost all track of time now,
One day blurs into the next,
Always searching, never finding
It seems I’ll never get a rest.

I turn another corner,
And this time I see a light,
Is this the way out?
Am I finally done this fight?

The light grows as I draw nearer,
And feel the sun upon my face.
It seems I have finally found,
The way out of this horrible place.

And just when it seems I have made it,
The tendrils of darkness reach out once more,
And hold me back as the light disappears,
Just like it has so many times before.

And again I am lost in the darkness,
So cold and so alone.
Again I am lost in the darkness
It seems I’ll never find my way home.

my fav. stanza i absolutly can relate to this poem it had a very nice flow and it was so beautifully written. amazing poem... hope to read more soon...

This would have to be my favorite stanza in the poem. The first two lines in this one caught my eye for some reason...

One of the things I like about this poem is that everyone can interpret it different. There is no set idea, the way I read this is different then from how you do. Well, you could say that about a lot of poems but this one especially so, to me.
