Dulled knife rip me apart
Harsh words just break my heart
Don’t really know what to believe
After all I was blind, I should have seen

Through all that crap, all those lies
All those jokes all those fake cries
Lying to myself really took its toll
Hoping what wasn’t there tore my soul

Thought they were my friends, thought I could trust
God I was wrong, they succumbed to popularity and lust
They are such cowards, as they couldn’t even tell me
The truth, they don’t really care that they made me bleed

Pretending through each class, that they and I were Ok
How long would they put that up, how many days?
I gave so little of myself away, and still I am in pain
I’ll make them pay; they can walk the halls in shame

Truthful words tear me apart
What they said, rip my heart
Why did they judge, won’t make me go
I can pretend I don’t care, they won’t know

My ripped broken heart
Cracked and torn apart
They may have broken me but I am not done
Hurt me deep inside, but they haven’t won.

Hi Rhia,

I liked this one also, the implied-ness of the poem is what really catches my attention. It leaves a lot up to the imagination and I find that to be rather refreshing to read.

Thanks for sharing!
