Well, I've been on hiatus from this site for quite a while, but I'm back now! There's lots of new faces here, especially in the teen forum, so I thought I'd just say hello to all of you.

With this being my 3,000th post I thought I'd post a poem I've written recently. Enjoy.

You Stole My Heart

I was only a kid back then,
We used to tease and play.
But then something happened,
On a typical Saturday.

I don't know quite what it was,
But in you I saw something new.
You stole my heart that Saturday,
And I don't know what to do.

I realized that you cheered me up,
Every time I was feeling down.
I don't know how you did it,
But somehow you got rid of my frown.

And when my world turned upside-down,
You were there to lend a hand.
Acting so sweet and wonderful,
Through all my great demands.

You've never seemed to judge me,
Even when I'm feeling gray.
You help make my world wonderful,
Each and every day.

You'll always be in my thoughts,
Even if we're far apart.
Ever since that fateful day,
When you stole my heart.

awww it's good to see you back!

I really loved how you ended this one, it just fit. Very sweet poem, something I think a lot of people can relate too. Great job!

Hi *Alli4000*,

Yes, welcome back, I know that you probably don't remember me but I've always appreciated that you've taken the time to comment on so many of my poems, now I just want to return the favor!

This poem was awesome; especially the flow, the flow was one of the best parts of the poem. Plus I liked how you called it a, "typical Saturday", that part just seems to add a whole lot to the entire poem, for me.

Thanks so much for sharing this piece! I hope to see more of your poems in the near future

i like this it's so...sweet, the whole poem flowed really well and i loved the end:
