passions kindled inside out
empty kisses invite doubt
lose to win, the game is on
tangled sheets and legs till dawn
touch makes love, makes war inside
exposed to gain control in lies
flesh to flesh craves shallow trust
shadows in her eyes scream lust
a victim snared by apathy
the gavel falls, no sympathy
friends cast judgment, lips accuse
just keep in mind, it could be you.

flesh to flesh craves shallow trust
shadows in her eyes scream lust

The mental picture that those words provoke
Has in me buried thoughts awoke.

A thought provoking poem to be sure.
Well done Kindred Spirit.
