Though my feet are slippered,
I'm not a slippery gal at all.
I am a stairway tripper
and going to fast, may cause a fall.

Rushing between my screen upstairs
and my household chores below,
happens uncountable times each day,
performed in a graceful flow.

The tiles on the floor, are hard and cold,
we don't have central heating,
so I slipper along in slippered feet,
with once in a while a beating.

Once I forgot to take them off,
when driving to work in the morning.
I bought a new pair of shoes on the way,
to avoid my colleages' scorning.

I used up a number, I don't even recall,
they won't last too long on my feet,
I easily walk outside in clay soil,
giving me high heeled slippers indeed.

Slippers and boots (the rubber ones),
is what I most wear at my little farm.
Pumps won't do when tending my sheep,
so I wear my slippers and boots with charm.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Yo dear Titia Geertman,

This is a cute poem.  Take care of yourself, and don't fall.

Awwww Titia, this is cute. No, I don't think high heels would work well, while tending the sheep. It's good to see a post from you. Or, maybe I have been missing them. My job keeps me pretty busy.

Cute little ditty you slipped in here.  Once my realestate manager came to a closing with 2 different colored shoes, brown and black.  He never noticed until he was stomping the snow off in the entry way of the title company.  He sat with his feet under his chair until it was over.
At least the sheep don't mind what you wear as long as you care for them.

God bless,
  Rae

Great poem Titia but I had to read it the second time as the first time I read it,
it was
'a tearaway stripper'

Now I thought that's not right, a nice girl like Titia wound not be a stripper so the next time I got it right. Thanks for sharing. take care.
