Cosmic Flight
by Linda L. Dowd

While I sleep, I wander nightly,
‘Cross mid of night, star-studded skies.
~ Thru' dimensions past comprehension,
Where all one's dreams materialize.

This body dense, does lose its form,
As it does merge with stellar light.
Conscious mind expands with God Force,
As I make my cosmic flight.

My soul does soar among star systems.
~ Absorbing wisdom from the Beyond.
Sailing like a newborn seedling,
As soaring soul sings spirit song.

Colors grander than those on Earth,
~ They are a feast for thirsty eyes.
While sounds and scents vibrate within me
~ Where life's eternal and never dies.

As I do wish, so it becomes,
~ Regardless of my fantasy.
Wishes of the highest order,
In but a blink, are reality.

While I sleep, I wander nightly.
~ ‘Cross mid of night, star-studded skies.
Thru' dimensions past comprehension,
Where all my dreams materialize.

~ * ~

“We are borne of star dust,
and to the stars we shall one day return.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

Yo dear Linda,

This is an interesting picture.  I'd use plain old "While".  The antiquated language draws too much attention to its self.

R.E.J. ~

While "whilst" is still a commonly used British word, I do agree with you that "while" worked better in my poem.

Thanks for dropping by and have a pleasant day!

Earth Angel,

sweet dreams indeed, with picture
and poem you present the star course
for poetic souls,

Oh, yes, dear Linda, so very true.  Enough to make one sleep all day and night but, sadly, duality is the name of the game - until it's not, of course.

Your words once again made me soar along with you, dear Angelo Terrestre. And the quoted lines are my favorite, because just the other day while meditating I had these visions of stunning colors that seemed new and brighter to my eyes than whatever I had seen before. I have the intention to write about this, as it really filled me with wonder and awe.

In this wonderful poem too you diffuse beauty and harmony captured in upper spheres.

The picture too is fantastic!

You are the Angel of Joy.
Love you,
Margherita
