Stunning picture, Alison, and your words most certainly do it justice.  On your way to work at dawn?  If nothing else taking pictures like this is worth an early start. Lovely!

Linda,

Thank you for coming back.  I had posted the picture with the haiku and the font sucked.  So what you probably read was something like - Aack, Brb.  Or - Blech, Brb.  I was off fixing it.

You are such a sweetheart.  I wanna be treasurer of your fan club.  I figure it is huge and I am the one to steal ... hmmm, handle (yeah, handle) the dues.

I love you.

Thank you, Ida.  I hope you have a beautiful day.

Alison

Helen,

Thank you so very much.  Dawn here can start as late as 11:00 am and as early as 2:00 am.  It just depends on the time of year.  Right now, it never really gets dark.  I think we are about up to 23 hours of daylight.

Alison

-

Sue,

Thank you for enjoying.  You are really the one giving me the gift in sharing your pleasure.

23 hours of light! That too impresses me!

Thank you so much for reading and enjoying.  Actually today our daylight is up to 19 hours and 52 minutes.  On June 21 we will have 21 hours and 49 minutes.  We actually have a lot of dusk for a month or two.  On the shortest day of the year, December 21, we have 3 hours and 42 minutes of daylight.  We live in extremes.

Love you,

You know how much I love this!
Now, when you post Midnitesun's summer solstice photo and write.... I will just have to claim it for myself!
My eyes, mind, heart miss the extremes even though the rest of my body would probably protest if I moved back there.
Thanks for sharing the lovely photo and haiku.

I hope it's not too late to add my little piece here. Haiku are greatly underestimated becausu of their brevity yet, together with a perfectly complementing picture, you wrote a thousand words.

-

Lindsay,

Thank you for enjoying and commenting.  I don't really go to work that early - in the winter our shortest day of the year is like three hours of daylight.  This gives me lots of dawn-type photo opportunities.  I have missed you lots.
