His foul name filled the souls of his people with dread
And each kept to his cottage behind its stone wall.
Yet wherever he walked, his black evil he spread;
The rank tyrant, the Master of Foxhunters' Hall.

In league with the devil
So everyone said
My soul has been sold
Long before I am dead
And where did I come from
And where will I go
But no one can answer
As no one can know

When he walked in the moonlight beneath the dark skies
All the creatures were silenced, not one bird would call;
But he'd leave ere the morning, before the sun rise,
The rank tyrant, the Master of Foxhunters' Hall.

The lord of the darkness
So everyone said
But I know about death
Long before I am dead
And why do I wander
And where do I go
All questions unanswered
As no one can know

For all time he will live in a land steeped with fear
And each night he will wander, whate'er may befall;
But do not show compassion, do not shed a tear -
The rank tyrant, the Master of Foxhunters' Hall.

There is no tomorrow
So everyone said
The past will be gone
Long before I am dead
And why do I wander
And where can I go
Expect no responses
As no one can know

The agreement once signed with hs own crimson blood
Bought him power and riches, but kept him in thrall
Till his body felt weary and none understood
The rank tyrant, the Master of Foxhunters' Hall.

The power of Hades
As everyone said
Would be my one goal
Long before I am dead
But now I am weary
With one place to go
But that is denied me
And no one can know

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Dark atmosphere, you have written it well, but the darker they are, the greater the need for release from this destiny, don't you think?

I usually love the back and forth between first and third person points of view.... and this is absolutely no exception.
This is very well written, and I do look forward to reading many more of your thoughts.

But this one goes to eleven...
