A needle's eye
is feathering
the finery of a silk thread
as I pray for some dumb luck
to feign itself as mastery
jabbing blind and just missing
I lick the end then lick my lips
as if to say "yeah I meant that"
as I succumb to little pricks
that stain my dainties brown.

Eyelet and a daisy stitch
on cotton starched to linen crisp
tear drop pearls upon the hem
a promise on the skirt and it's
deigned the coloring of tea
and sometimes there is scarcity
of weave where there be treachery
as threads
where rubbings feign the suede
as these tiny stitches fray
beneath the pull of lips in plead:

and yes, it was designed this way--

a virgin in a shroud.

I read this as two pieces in one.
On the first read I found myself nodding my head as I identified with what was going on.
On the second read I started picking up a second, highly sensual, meaning to your words.
I enjoyed both but the second read got my blood going.

WOW, That is really good stuff.
It almost reads as erotica, yet gentle enough for virgin ears.

My daughter makes me look better than I am...

she's a great photographer, and understands lighting.

(and that ain't blush, it's a hotflash)

*chuckle*

And trust that ya'll didn't wanna see what is on her bedroom wall.
