Tripped Up

you’re an empty suitcase
traveling on a trip to no where
I could cry but I have spent
all of my tears on more
imitation silk lining covered thin
the outside of never being right
weak in the schedule of timing
tracks boarded to boredom
map pinned carefully I was here
and grip that bears your name alone
but alone is so different than lonely
red light, green light, a ticket to ride
pack yourself up and go, I’ll wave

"I'm so hard to handle
I'm selfish and I'm sad."
— Joni Mitchell

"and grip that bears your name alone

One thing that I really liked out of it all. Alone and lonely, yes, one of the hardest lessons I had to learn of life, really.

Amen! And being lonely when you're not even alone is the worst.

Wonderful write... I'll wave with you! *S*

interesting how it all comes to not really caring if one leaves or stays, but what do we really mean inside I don't know but sometimes we are too in a rush to get our feelings out we stumble over the closest wordings.

Ballsy; I love it. But only be sure you love the back and are not hoping for a turn of the head.
