Since December

Last night
in my dreams
somewhere in the
grand scheme of things
I was rolling around in my bed,
sweet dreams running through my head
thinking of the times of me and you.
You say that you love me
and you know that I love you
so I need to be with you
to rejuvinate the fire,
to consummate the desires,
because I love you
but I don't want to miss you
I want to hold and kiss you,
not only in my thoughts and dreams,
but in the warmth of my arms.
I want you to fill my day and nights,
be my everything, wear my diamond ring,
so why haven't I seen you
sweet darling, since December?

"because I love you
but I don't want to miss you"

Isn't that how it usually works? Missing is the hardest part.

Dear James, your reflections seem justified ... almost five months is a long time to wait!
Did you send her this lovely poem whispered by your heart?

Love,
Margherita

Certainly makes one wonder about the grand scheme of things.

Your poetic nature and honest intentions and expression
have grown on me over the years, James.

Nice poem you wrote.
