There's No Where To Go

A few fiendish fellows form phony foundations,
The goal being a gradual pillage of nations,
Dirty deeds done in daylight, there's no need for waiting,
Blatantly daring, all eyes to see, all ears to hear,
But none do, it's just me.

Failure follws, death devours,
Destruction comes within mere hours,
Insidious illusions, deceptive conclusions,
A programmer knows the logic of users.

To each his own, the saying is said,
If each had his own, the rest would be dead,
Those void of emotion conquer the planet,
Those void of knowledge blankly stare at it,
As if it were normal, the way things should be,
I think it's insane, not normal to me,
Pillaged again, we've been raped ten times over,
Paranoid now, I look over my shoulder,
The future looks bleak, what's the point, why stay sober?

Everyone's sleeping, I'm awake by myself,
Alone in the night, the guns on the shelf,
I see flashes of light in far distant corners,
But the sight is so rare, I think we're all goners.

The wolves in sheep's clothing smile with ease,
They survey the flock and they sharpen their teeth,
See all those men?  They're just little boys,
See all those women?  They're playing with toys,
Perpetual children, expolited for labor,
They can't help themselves, they just want a savior,
What can I do?  The feeling is lonely,
A few give me comfort, but only one knows me.

I think the war ended, so long ago,
This is the clean up, the end of the show,
The audience obeys, they go where they're told,
But I'm not yet tired, don't want to go home,
The enemy closes, we run, on our own,
We're looking for safety,
There's no where to go.

And yet? We'll buy insurance.

Loved this part:

"Those void of emotion conquer the planet,
Those void of knowledge blankly stare at it,
As if it were normal, the way things should be,
I think it's insane, not normal to me,"

nodding

absolutely love it.
