Glimmer rose red petal sheen
mornings breath dewdrop roll
white spider delicate weaves
pristine web as finches wake.

Lawn rumbles insect lives
green with scent of new mow
statues on courtyard marble
frozen in time tipped golden
as rising sun fingers in place.

Bees hunt in pollen swirl
colors rich to flower
breakfast children open doors
to play the morning hour.

Trucks banter in the distance
rumbling like the bees
streaks cross the sky
jets pierce the breeze.

lawn mower dad ritual cut
scythes through grass like jet
in sky sweating as the dew
human in web caught by
spider waiting nearby.

I can feel that early morning air.  Ahhh, the smell of fresh mown grass, the glistening web awaiting the catch.

  God bless,

this has a lovely 'feel' to it...especially liked this stanza:

"Bees hunt in pollen swirl
colors rich to flower
breakfast children open doors
to play the morning hour"

...then again, the ending was ultra-cool as well

Zaxby...I love the smell of fresh cut grass.
Each day we get to wittness a new awakening of our world, what a beautiful thing to be a part of...Paul
