Tracking Practice

Rolling stones shackle gravity.
But misery loves company.
So pair me with weights.

Rouse with blinking stabs,
fresh and spoiled.
The ground shakes; the mind splits.
The Alpha and Omega axe swings.
Mute the thudding pain.

Life flowing; life spilled.
Salt and light etched in bare flesh.
Color blind movement, fearing nothing,
frees the flood.
Tears of Sweat that bleed like Blood.

Sighs and shouts; grunts and grins.
Boys slipping on wrinkled shirts.
Girls swapping groans for giggles.
Relief and ice
end practice.
