the heat of a friendly bonfire underneath northwoods stars.
I am the smoke from my 12-gauge shotgun
the drum of a grouse in the year's first snow.

I am the strain of an athlete,
the clang of plates on an olympic bar.
I am the skin-tearing roughness of an atlas stone,
the endlessness of desire to achieve.

I am the life of the party,
the laughter in my lungs.
I am the laughter in your lungs,
the good clean fun.

I am rum and coke,
I am senseless love.
I am humor,
I am strength.

I am yours,
I am mine.
I am sex,
I am fire.

Neat "I am" prompt. Seemed to be the fashionable thing to do. Everyone wrote "repost" after the title, I'm no sure what that was for, so I didn't plop 'er on there. I will if somebody tells me I need to, for any given reason.

Earth Angel... I compete in strongman, so it's part of who I am. There's a lot more to it than barbells, but there are only so many lines in a poem.

But thanks! I guess if the boot fits, I better put the damn thing on.
