Storied Words I am . . . that kid in the street on the skateboard, that kid with the wheels beneath him, the wind in his face, the urge to go on and on and on. I am . . . the couple sitting on the blanket beneath the tree passing interlaced fingers from lip to lip.. I am. . . the dog sitting in that woman’s lap, her hand scratching my back.... ooh, I am the dog, nose placed just . . . so I am. . . all my thoughts, my dreams, reality, whatever I can or will be. I am anything but boring, silly, introverted me, except, when words flow from fingertips to page. I am a face never truly seen, a soul hiding, not knowing how to be free.
