Saluting with misty eyes

Not a drum was heard, not a funeral note
As long that procession marched over the trail of tears
Built by those who would be called loyal subjects
To the once and fallen king
Ruler of the former grandness that was Camelot
The final review he took, riding past his queen
Black lace veil hiding the tears she shed
While the bonny prince, youngest and bravest of all
Stood so proud, so tall
Showing a bravery and a strength
Worthy of this once mighty hero of the realm
Slain just this half fortnight gone.
Unto the honored and hallowed burial grounds
At the edge of the now crumbling kingdom
They made their way, finally.
All honors read, he was laid unto his final rest
His peasants returning to theor shattered lives
Trusting in the light of the worlds
Forever flickering atop his sainted head
To set his spirit free.

I know it was made over three years ago; however, I needed somethign to bribe my Muse into returning home.
The first line was taken from "Burial of Sir John Moore" by Charles Wolfe

But this one goes to eleven...

You tickled your muse quite well.

I know it must be hard with George and John dead but try and continue on.
