Many have tried and failed in the effort
Thou always find a way to this elude
For in the escape thou art the expert
With beauty in thy strength and this exude
No one has yet been able to win thee
Thy affection is held close to thy breast
Heart locked away with some lost magic key
Yet still the suitors come on with no rest

There is only one that shall deign to win
The treasure of trust in your guarded soul
Entrance to Heaven if one was let in
Would make the pieces entire and whole
That which is thy promise of yet to be
For until that time, none can possess thee

No wonder the suitors are numerous when such a prize is the quest. *S* I love the rhymes you used in this beauty... this is fantastic!!

A poet who writes of love and romance as well as you do, must surely hold the key to open even the most guarded heart.
