I remember what it felt
To see winter fall;
How the snow would stay
As long as my legs
Would lye beneath it.

How my curls would
Frost like tips of ice,
And I could feel it.
Feel the cold reign
Beneath my jacket,
Beneath my breath,

Sitting against itÕs left breast,
I remember what it felt like to have a home,
A lawn without horizon,
Without parallels of decision,
I remember it.

I remember the cold,
The niceness of 10 degrees
Hollowing at my ankles,
Turning my nose so red,
I felt my skin become jealous.

I remember my mother;
Her long blonde locks,
Like leaves brushing against the autumn wind,
Her skin still blush,
Still in love,
With a boy that stood in front of her,
Still her son,

But, now, I see winter,
And wonder when it will be over.
