Forever In Your Heart

She had five children,
still little,
not yet grown,

she loved them so,
being the best mother,
she could ever be,

One day her world,
of peacefulness,
crashed to the ground,

She was informed,
that she had a tumor,
one inside her brain,

Not much time left,
the doctor told her,
she cried, and cried,

Then she began to write,
all the letters,
to each and every child,

The first letters,
were for when they,
would learn to drive,

The next was graduation,
and then their wedding days,
the birth of her grandchildren,

And lets not forget each birthday,
this mother loved so much,
she made a way to be with them,

Not in body, but spirit,
she gave the letters to,
her very best friend,

Told her on each occaision,
to deliver the letters,
and so the friend did,

The children grew up,
and each letter,
was delivered,

Each brought a tear,
a memory of her,
and then a smile,

She was with them,
sharing their special days,
her words written,

Forever in the letters.

"her words written
forever in the letters"

lost but never gone.

Very touching indeed. One could only wish to be the recipient of such love.

Yo dear A Romantic Heart,

This is a very sad poem.  A person can only hope for the best, and wish good on her kids, and her.

Love Bobby

I was really upset to read this poem, although it is elegantly written sweetheart.

When I see your face all the angels are shamed.

This one means a lot to me. *S* Shortly before he passed away, my Dad had me buy graduation cards... and though his hands didn't work well because of the stroke, he addressed and signed each card. As his grandchildren graduate from high school and college, they're given the card PawPaw left for them... and yes... there are tears. But more... there's love. *S* So there are smiles through the tears.

Deeply poignant. A wonderful way to be present with love that transcends the physical plane.

Love,

This was a hard poem for me to read because my daughter passed away from cancer at 34 and left a ten year old daughter. It is very sad but tells an important story.
