Under construction and junk everywhere
this incomplete business no happiness pill
but no one can breathe let alone swallow
a seemingly pointless attempt at renew.

It’s okay and good to move the view
from here to a another outlook
but there is no magic in junk everywhere
to simply implode at the touch of a thought.

Under construction and junk everywhere;
‘tis just the first and initial assault
on the queen of denial
who wears the crown of a fool
to safeguard security.

The incomplete will become complete
and junk everywhere a faint memory
when the queen bows to whatever must be
to effect a return unto love.

Meanwhile that queen is still a fool
under construction with junk everywhere!

Love the way junk everywhere is stressed. Under construction, take diversion, work under progress just leaves a mess everywhere. Very thoughtful.

This is wonderful... I thoroughly enjoyed!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.  We've suddenly been thrown into winter so this poem was more or less inspired by the unpacking of warmer clothing - it's all just junk really.  And "M" I've been puzzling over the word "tact".

Steavenr, I think I may sometimes look into windows of the soul and do, I must admit, turn or run away when I see junk there.

Thanks again.

Very impressive how you weaved this together. A state of mind I understand ...

I dream of the essential to surround me!

Great work, dear Helen!

Love and hugs.

Grrrrr! Attack it! ~ One piece at a time! lol

I find it almost impossible to have organized thoughts if everything around me is in chaos. Mind you, I've been known to be a bit of a procrastinator!

I call the S. alvation Army or write a poem, depending on what kind of junk I'm trying to get rid of. I love the idea of this poem.

Thank you all so much for your comments.  I'm on the move so there's going to be more junk around me for the next little while ... still a fool, yes, indeed!
