                 MY CRYSTAL POOL
                    By Billie Cullimore

Deep down in the heart of
                 a crystal pool
           The sun reflects its light.
Its golden glow as it moves so slow
            Reveals a splended sight.

A spark I see of flamingo red.
Deep down in my crystal pool
A chasm of blood lies cold and serene,
           Where warriers faught a duel.

I look again at my crystal pool
And I know that it's seen great days
On the cavernous shores of an island
          Where majestic palm trees sway.

Through ages of death and rotting
With heat and damp and mold,
My pool was born in its glory,
           Where stalks the panther bold.

In the deep dark depths of the jungle
           Through centuries far gone by
          There's many enchanting gardens
Where pools like mine still lie.

I see the gold path leading up to my pool
And I drink of its beauty there in
The color, the life, the mystery, the love,
The story it tells me again.

Deep down in my pool I see a life
Filled with happiness bound to be.
I feel the love it's symbolic of,
The Diamond He Gave to Me

Billie - nice write, splended ending. Wrote a song about a 'Billie' I knew, called it "Billie and Me"....

Mom,  I was wondering where this was going, then the very last line pulled it all together and I had to re-read it to see how each stanza fit together with what you see.

Very well done.

There is something intriguing in your write, that made me read it twice. There is gratitude too.

Beautiful.

Yo Billie,

I found this to be a very interesting and mysterious write.  It’s very well written.
