You want that I should
pencil in
a circle
making blunt the spin
dizzy-dancing-oh-my-eyes

just by asking me to sin
by answering your questioning:

Are you happy?

Yes, I am

and I have no proof of this

but the fact that I still dance
when two saxophones entrance

me

from chairs I have sat in--

Am I happy? Do I grin?

Watch me as I laugh and spin
like a child that got caught in
your super-sated smuglet-tin
captured in the net of guile.

I am damned oblivious
to your eyes, obsequiesque--
wings of planes become my arms!
I am a helicopter-song:
rrrrrrat-tat-tat-and wrong again
Are you happy

Yes. I am.

Now you want me to defend
myself, because I am?

I've had reasons that I thought
should prevent me from what ought
to be a state of natural--

Am I happy?

Am I not?

I'm dancing
in the dew of mend
glistening upon the lawn
watching the sun rise again

wishing

I'd worn a tu-tu...out

laughing

in the pink of dawn

wishing you were here...

You don't even know how brilliant you are, do you? From a title that entices and exhilerates to an ending that touches in so many ways... you make me want to follow you around, hoping you'll drop some of that talent and I can whisk it away. *G*

"Am I happy?

Am I not?"

...this is the best answer, I believe, that could ever be framed to this universal question...well done, m'lady, well done

I hope you're happy because I surely am after reading this.  Dance even though it may rain.  Your happy footprints are in my heart.

God bless,

Thank you all, very much.

This was inspired by a question from Essorant, so I must give credit where it is due.

I have so much to be grateful for, and please trust that all of you are included in the "much".
