Why does love leave
and where does it go?
I've a heart like stone
with nothing to show,
cold and hard
where nothing can grow.

I suppose maybe it's true...
only once in a life love comes to you
and if it leaves, it's just gone,
going someplace it can't linger on.

I remember love and yes, it was nice
but as they say, lightning doesn't strike twice.

So I go on living, with things like they are,
knowing that someplace is a world too far.

I feel really bad for you.
Seems like your posts are getting darker all the time. Here's wishing you the best.

Hugs...I believe that love is circular and is still living in your heart...it needs some nourishment...James

I loved this Dixie, thoughts from the heart shared, pure and truthful, it might not be as bad as it sounds, but isn't it good to get it down on paper and feel the relief of sharing with others. We all wish for our perfect love, not many of us get it you know, maybe 5% I think, could be less, most of us just live the day and the habit which continues into tomorrows. Don't let your heart stay too blue my friend, we just need to walk in the right direction, here this way lol. Take care ok.

...the ending couplet to this is like an exclamation mark, drawing the reader's attention to the write's resolution...loving the form...hurting for your pain...

Yo Passing shadows,

That's a very clever picture of a rainy day.

I like that.

That old saying; two out of three aint bad.
interpreted:  The first two weren't bad, they were horable, now the third?
Oh yeh.

Don't ever give up looking for the right one.

Keep up the chin,
Tracey

You chose the perfect picture for your words! *S*

I know it's probably no consolation... but you're not alone in seeking that someplace. *S*
