I come for absolution only she can give
For her blessings is all that I live
Grace bestowed upon all hope is placed
To be anointed with presence of her face
Alms for the one that I still love
Penance after confessing my sins of
Burning incense to cleanse the air
Purify the sanctum of her lair
Hallowed by a kiss, a rite of contrition
Sacred, this place in all its glorious condition
Shed the earthly garments that are unclean
Not worthy of she whom is never seen
Faith is the guiding light to the altar
Belief that it is the incarnate of her
Deliver us from all the evils that are without
Professed love from one to another’s mouth
Breathed life into this soulless clay
To command me to rise up for her today
With brightness in these skyward eyes
Shown the path to where immortals lie

"Shown the path to where immortals lie" - Not such a good thing really because then we know when we've stumbled along a side path.  Maybe then not all paths lead to... heaven.  Enjoyed!

I feel I must whisper... to honor the reverence of your words. *S*

This is beautiful work, my friend! *S*
