.

I like
To smoke my pipe
In warm rooms

Preferably
My own home

This is a pleasure
The father I love
Was finally not allowed

I remember
Him at the end
Sitting alone
By the garage

Which may
Then explain
Why after he’s gone

I never visit
My mother

Yo John,

That's a shame about that.  I'd be one to cut Mom some slack.

How very sad for all of you. And The strange thing is I understand everyone's point of view.

Liked this quite a bit.

A personal touch I think.

There's more than a pipe in this poem, and that's why it touches me.

Resentment steals too much from life.
