Nature's Renewal
by Linda L. Dowd

Thunder is rumbling thru’ distant hills.
Rain overflows the country rills.
Lightning streaks a roiling spring sky.
~ For Nature’s renewal is nigh.

Showers of spring help plant-life grow.
Earth drinks deep from spring shower flow.
Returning geese go winging by,
~ For Nature’s renewal is nigh.

Drab browns and grays will soon be green.
All will be fresh, and new, and clean.
Flowers will bloom and grass grow high,
~ For Nature’s renewal is nigh.

.

EA, Linda dear,

Your words are true and exciting.  The geese are in.  The reindeer are having their babies (and I can see them at the University farm).  The puddles are deep and icky and fun to drive through.  Soon it will be summer - and for now?  Well, I am loving the 'breakup'.

Loved this, and the repetition of 'For Nature’s renewal is nigh' is evocative.

Dear Linda isn't Spring a wonderful time of the year, when so much new life appears

right across the whole universe, as well as inspiring you to write such a vibrant

lovely poem. Love to you my friend and may the sun shine upon you always.

It's been a loooong winter! In fact, we have snow predicted for tomorrow!

I enjoy all the seasons ~ which are quite dramatic and separate from the other, here in Canada. HOWEVER, winter can drag on a bit too long for my liking! lol

Charming Guy ~ Ooops, 'Chalmette' Guy!

I really like the repetitiveness of the B line in a Kyrielle. I'm pleased that you found repeitition of my B line, "evocative".

Have a happy spring!

Dry, hot weather, is the most trying for me. I'm a water person who prefers cool weather. It must be very difficult for you to endure a scorching summer.

May your area have the renewal of our cooling spring rains.
