Only yesterday we were kids together,
believing life would go on forever.

There was never a time I felt afraid,
as we ran and laughed and jumped and played.

We were never alone we always had each other,
me and my sisters, and me and my brother.

But the light got dim as we grew older,
And the warmth from the sun got a little bit colder.

We existed together but in different ways,
We drifted apart alone in the maze.

And we changed, but I knew you, even at the end,
You were family, my sister and childhood friend.

Remember me sister, because I am really here,
I hear you and love you, and am silently near.

Life has a purpose, hear this and heal,
Life is imagined and love is what’s real.

And paradise is heaven, and that’s where I am,
But I promise to be with you whenever I can.

When it’s time, it’s just time, despite how we go,
Death’s not always goodbye, sometimes it’s “hello”

Let life continue, start slowly as you say,
but don’t go too slow, it’s all over one day.

Try to make a difference wherever you can,
Don’t let the day be over before it began.

I will see you shortly, I miss you too,
But don’t give up whatever you do.

Your love for your sister, Rani, is so apparent in this poem that you have written for her.

"Death’s not always goodbye, sometimes it’s “hello” ~ Yes. I totally agree.

Sending up prayers for your beloved sister's well-being.

Love & Eternal Light,

EA

Thank you. My mom and my aunt (her sister) passed within a couple of years of each other.

My aunt Rani is the last remaining of the three sisters....she feels very alone....so I wrote this for her.

these words came to me as if from her sisters to her I just wrote them down. =)

Thank you for your comment, its very nice to get this out into the universe for people to read.

This had me in floods of tears.

Initially, I thought Rani was in Heaven and you were writing this as though from her to you, so I was glad of your explanation so that my tears could be directed correctly.  What a kind, compassionate and empathetic thought to write this for your Aunt Rani!  It must be wonderful, though, to have siblings, even if they are in Heaven.
