What is it that you seek, a shoulder to shed your misery?  A hint of compassion; to soothe your own wallowing heart.

It is not I that bestowed these feelings of hate and anger.  Yet you have come to my side, parading yourself, expecting to rejuvenate your own desires.

Lying in the shadows of my own self pity, I hear your cry; unaware of the spell you cast; luring me in closer.  As you cried, I was compelled to offer what you were looking for.  Now I Find; That I have tumbled into your web of lies and deception.

I stand by your side; AWARE, still clouded by you spell.  Knowing what has to take place.  I now stand conflicted and torn, lusting for affection, angered at your rejection.

I can see you have suffered a lot of angst
my friend but often when we think our hearts are broken, something always crops up and a few months down the track, you will wonder what the heck you were so worried about. Believe me I know, I've been there and done that. Good luck and happy Easter.

'lying in the shadows of my own self pity'---oh, I like that image.  Well done.
