*******
this was the intro to "My Goddesses" and Serenity Blaze suggested that it, in itself, was a free verse poem. I agree most heartily. Here it is. Enjoy. (yeah I know, this could be too).
*******

At 4am this morning
I got back
from
walking, running and dancing
beneath
the light of the moon,
along the shore in Darwin.

It's a full moon tonight
and though there was a cloudy sky,
the light shone bright
through the darkest cloudy night

Arriving back,
I was filled
with elation,
almost as if
all the trials
I have I had
to go through
this past year and definitely
this past week
no
  longer
     mattered.

I feel alive!

So alive I had to write
this poem
before I went to sleep.
Enjoy, and sorry for the anagram...

I love a story, Karen knows that.

And I loved this story..and the others you will write.

"So alive I had to write
this poem
before I went to sleep"

...certainly can relate to this...with drawers full of napkins scribbled with thoughts and sudden bursts of inspiration, sometimes the palm of my hand, unwashed as to not destroy the latest muse-message...and sleep is simply a foretaste to dream shadowed processes that do not always feed inspiration's energy...most everyone who posts on this board could probably relate...thank you for sharing this insightful write
