No Such Thing

With you,
there's no such thing
as a wasted moment of time
within you
there's no such need
for a warning sign
I'm not afraid of anything I'll find
inside your heart or mind

With you,
I feel so sure
of the songs I've yet to pen
all for you
you can feel secure
love without an end
in the pages of my heart left open
find what you need within

No such thing
as a long enough minute to spend
sitting here with you,
smitten and clumsily devoted to
the way the hairs on my neck stand on end
whenever you bend
this precious time for me,
my sweet willow tree

With you,
there's no such place
that wouldn't feel just like home
I've seen you
beyond a lovely face
your brilliant light shown
I felt the fire warming these old bones
sing to me in sweet tones

No such thing
as a long enough lifetime to spend
being here with you,
smitten and forever devoted to
the way the hairs on my neck stand on end
whenever you send
your precious love to me,
my sweet honey bee

No such thing
with you, there's no such thing
as a wasted note to sing
no such thing
as an end to this wellspring
within me
and there's no such thing
I'm not afraid of anything

And there's no such thing
no such thing

"Alone: that ain't the word, it's just a groan in the morning nobody ever heard" --Justin Currie, 'Gold Dust'

This is a beautiful song of love to last, dear Zach. The repetition sounds good here.

You sigh me with your words, soul drifter. This got even better and better as I read.
Nice to meet you.

I like the whole poem but particularly love these lines... when you know enough to know you can learn everything without being disappointed... that's so special. *S*
