You are my angel, you are my friend
You are my world, right to the end

You are my light, so pure and true
You are my everything, what will I do?

Without your hugs, without your kisses, without our talks
How will I have the strength to walk?

You will be Home, peaceful and free
This I know and will always believe

God has a reason and purpose for us
If only we believe and give Him our trust

And I hope you're the one reaching out, my friend
To welcome me Home at the end

To my Grandpa, my Angel, my Friend
I love you always, I'll see you again

Very beautiful tribute to your Grandpa...

Welcome to PIPTALK,
To the neighborhood, where friends don't let friends go with out their daily fix of Blue.

Well done.
Tracey.

Yo Angellea,

You did a good job honoring your Grandfather.  My Grandfather raised me.  He was my father figure.  I think he did a good job, as I'm still alive and healthy at 72.

I'm lucky, my kids take care of their kids.  So all I have to do is buy them stuff every-once-in-awhile.

I love them, and they are all good kids.

Say hello to Grandpa for me.

Thanks, Bobby. I'll remember to do that.

Grandpas are special creatures, aren't they?

My Grandpa truly was an angel on this earth. I still wonder how he hid his wings.

These lines are sweet, uncomplicated love.

Ya know, Grandpa was lucky, too.

Love,

Poetman, thanks for taking the time to read it. I knew my Grandpa was dying the day he went into the hospital. He was in the hospital for over two months. I actually wrote this more than a month before he passed. Let your Grandpa know as often as you can how much he means to you. Whatever time we have with them, it seems to never be enough.

Sunshine, you bring me to tears. I do so hope that he is proud of me. He's been gone just over five years and I miss him so.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and for taking the time to read this.

So very tender and loving, dear Maranda! Though I have not known my grandfathers, I have had a wonderful grandmother and the emotions are the same. They will always be missed.

Love and welcome to Pip!

Welcome aboard the PiP Ship! There can never be too many 'angels' sailing these blue seas!

It would appear that the feather did not fall far from Grandpa's angel wings.

God bless you both!

Giving you a warm, welcoming pip hug,

Earth Angel

Earth Angel, thank you for the warm welcome. I agree, there can never be too many angels. :-) It's a nickname my hubby gave me years ago. Lea is my middle name, so I'm his angel lea girl!

I ENJOYED YOUR GRANDPA TRIBUTE ...AND THEY WERE A SPECIAL GENERATION TOO THAT SAW SO MUCH CHANGE
THANK YOU FOR COMMENTING ON MY APOLLO 11 TRIBUTE
I THINK WHITE SHADE OF PALE CAPTURED SOMETHING MYSTERIOUS ABOUT THAT SPECIAL TIME AND I WOULD LOVE SOMEONE TO BE ABLE TO DESCRIBE THAT AND PUT INTO WORDS...
