Mom, The Teacher

Sometimes, we take for granted,
The talents that we receive,
Each has certain abilities,
Gifts hard to conceive,

We’re born into this world,
Not knowing where we’re bound,
Just guessing at our future,
And grasping at what we’ve found,

To each a little piece,
Of our parents we can show,
And share treasures of what they are,
While they teach us as we grow,

But when we look back on the path,
They tried to guide us down,
The most that they can hope for,
We learn to swim before we drown,

So to the parents that gave their all,
Teaching by example was the best,
And just a little note to my mom, Billie,
For me, “You passed the test”.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.

What a wonderful tribute to your mom and parents in general!  I'm sure you also made her proud.

I am always moved when love and gratitude are expressed for our parents.
I think you have penned a most  beautiful tribute, that will make your dear Mom smile and warm her heart.
It's great that your Mom Billie has come to share her own talent on these blue pages.

Love,
Margherita

My Mom had quite a sense of humour. She used to say to me, "Do as I say ~ not as I do!"

It would appear that your Mom ~ Billie Cullimore ~ taught you right! It also appears that you inherited her great jeans! I mean, "genes"! lol

Here's a big hug for each of you!

Mums Tracey, how could we do without them and I bet you make your Mum very proud.
Enjoyed the read. Take care my friend.

Yo WTBAKELAR,

It’s surprising how many people are related in these poetry sites.

This is a sweet poem.

Thank you, each and every one for your kind comments, and for welcoming my Mom in to the PIP family.

I know you will enjoy her work as much as I do.

Love and gratitude to all,  Tracey.
