Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

0 posted 2009-03-29 01:05 PM

Written with Ink
(title robbed from ctowen)

Passing shadows dance
on yesterday's snow
to herald the end
of Marchmadness.

Briskly, Arctic Wind
pushes winter aside,
making way for an
incoming Midnite Sun.

The rivers eddy
and the SEA churns as
spring sings the songs
of an Earth Angel.

These

words, written with Ink,
long to become poems
as winter longs to
surrender to summer's
late arrival.

-

Alison

How absolutely lovely and cute, dear Alison.

I am smiling at dear Ida's reaction. Dear Ida you keep the March Madness lovingly alive during the whole year. Without a little madness it would be too boring.

Hugs.

What a delightful poem you wrote before breakfast!

"the SEA churns as
spring sings the songs
of an Earth Angel."

Do those spring songs begin with a high C or a high SEA? lol

Adorable poem! Adorable you!

VERY clever!

I am especially fond of the idea of:

"words ..
long(ing) to become poems ...
(and) winter long(ing) to
surrender to summer... "

applause for this 'penning '!!

This was pretty good. I can only imagine how hard it must be to incorporate poet names.
And yes, I also need to change my username to something cool now. lol

To all those wonderful enough to respond to this poem - thank you.

I, literally, sat down and wrote this early one morning and had no idea that it would be as well received as it was.

You all have given me the greatest, kindest gift with each response - I cherish each of you.

Thank you and love,
