I've been working on the music for this over the last two weeks. It's a more traditional doom metal song than the first song I posted, this one has no verse, chorus, verse structure. But there is a structure between two shifting rhythm sections and two interchanging melodic instrumental parts. The key's A minor with a flat 2nd (I think you call it Phrygian or a spanish minor). Anyway, let me know what you think of the lyrics please, it's played and song very slowly and mournfully.

This story of passion's soft fold
Will end in grief before it's told
As you lay down before me now
I see the sweat bead on your brow

Your luscious eyes, delicate skin
Your heaving breast, the heart within
Like no other, divinity in flesh
Angel of God caught in the mesh

I shroud my ebon wings
About our bed of lust
To conceal our every sin
For we are but dust
Pale moonlight wanes
In darkened skies
The pleasure of our pain
In ecstatic cries

It couldn't last, two broken hearts
Entwined in grief, driven apart
Flame like the sun in misery
Our passion quenched in apathy

Lair of sorrow deep
Is where I've come to rest
The memories I keep
Clasped tight to my chest
The pain it fades away
Soon I will be gone
In sorrow you will stay
My beloved one

Will you weep for me my love?
Little goddess, my gentle dove
Will you wander in fading light?
Will you feel my lips every night?

In these lonely halls no moon will weep, no sun will shine.
In these narrow rooms no tears are seen, no laughter heard!

Very melancholic, but very beautifully written, dear Luke. It touches the heart.

As soon as you learn how to fly. Not much chance of me getting myself and my bassist with all our gear over to america now I'm officialy a poor student. If you have a spare keyboard player, and a drummer (I'd like a violin player as well but we can all dream) that would be useful.

That was a beautiful picture by the way.

I've missed you...
