             Spring Meadow

An astonishing clarity and fragrant
   peace
chase wisps of ephemeral mist
through this lovely, deep-spring
   morning meadow,
as they skirt the edge of
a vanishing wilderness...
Here is gentle, lambent truth
far too precious to squander.

makes me think of Yosemite, I used to live less than an hour from there and it was stunning beauty, just like this poem of yours!!

I 'write' real places ... and you made a perfect choice of geographic locale (grand Yosemite)! ...
[By the way, Ms. 'Midnitesun' chose exactly the same place as to what this 'penning' reminded her of!]

SEA, I adore Yosemite! It was my favorite place to go camping and hiking, and my inspiration for some sketches and oil paintings many years ago.

(I am a huge John Muir fan, and Ansel Adams)

yes, Ansel Adams, we have a few of his prints in the house

It was really a joy to live so close, I do miss it very much

You write so real and capture such exquisite beauty in so few words.

Lovely poem~

secondhanddreampoet - isn't the meadow just tranquil, especially in the morning of a delightful spring day...

This reminds me of my favorite hay field where I grew up.  I loved to go there and be alone to listen to the breeze rustle the grass before it was cut.  After it was mowed, I could see the tiny dew berry flowers which had hidden from the sun.
