The Birdcage

kitty-cornered
on a single branch
kindling amid last leaves

catcalls and coo's

in autumn's catch
and pre-spring recitals

swallows full of voice
wrened and refrained
a repertoire of avid dittys

in full view of a world

a blind madness
barely twitching

in full view they are nesting
twigs of hope,
blades of revival

renaissanced, they are nesting
for the whole world to see

in birds eye, a full view
paying homage to a blind world

in a birdcage

In rhythms to a rise the days shall follow ... each Yesterday, each Tomorrow.   -  Ct/05

Anything about birds gets my attention and smile!
I'm enjoying these duets you two are offering, especially with nature as a backdrop.
Good to see you posting again, Craig.

You two are something else, I love the signs of Spring peeking through the maddness.

It's always good to read you guys!

Truly a wonderful write. The collaboration flows seamlessly and the tone and visuals of this just really touched me. I loved this. Really well done both of you.

Best wishes,

Goddess, I read in your reply that "we seem to be on a roll these days."

I suppose that you and Craig are a couple of "Spring Rolls". Hmmm, Chinese, anyone? lol

Please excuse my silliness ~ But it IS Spring, yanno!

Another great collaboration! Keep 'em rolling!
