I'm Just A Memory Now

I'm just a memory now,
a home movie of laughter and tears,
gray, blurry visions of past rainbows,
forgotten love-moments over the years.

I'm just a memory now,
a smoke ring in a silent room
and you just opened the window
so you could breathe, I presume.

I'm just a memory now,
you live on with me, only
in the back of your mind
while I live on lonely.

I'm just a memory now,
you can't touch one of those
and soon enough I'll fade away,
I'll be the only one who knows
how much I still love you

but that's the way a memory goes.

I think I've already faded. *S* This is achingly beautiful, my friend... I'm glad you reposted! *S*

So sad, yet beautiful.  Memories never fade away.... they become part of our lives.  for something may trigger a thought of you... and will miss not being around you....
