Feel the heat!
The travel ad was enticing me
to venture to ‘ol Mexico.
So off I swam to warm southern waters,
alongside schools of fantasy fish
and frolicking dolphins
in an aquamarine sea,
downing Margheritas at sunset,
just my lover and me,
then twirling to mariachi music
‘neath a star-blossom sky.
Not a care in the world,
no pain, suffering, or strife.
No economic downturns to chill the night,
just hot amber sands, aqua seas, cerulean skies
watching fishing boats filled
with smiling locals and touristas
casting their mutual story lines
while we sat soaking in a fiery sunset,
sipping Margheritas
in the land of serendipity.
Would you like to vacation
with me?

"hot amber sands, aqua seas, cerulean skies ..."

fine (word-painted) southern Shangri-La imagery ...

a most pleasant 'alternative reality' penning!!

Ooh, yes, I'd love to, Kacy - swimming with the fantasy fish and the frolicking dolphins sold me immediately!  The rest would be great too!

Grin, guess we need a poetry charter plane?
WOW, imagine what fun that might be, to have a poet party at some warm beach hideaway?

Off hand, I can't think of anyone I would rather vacation with at the moment.  It would be fun - and I bet I could out-white you!

Love this poem, Kacy girl.

Love,
A

yes ... I imagine a very many of us these days could use a 'touch' of those:

"frolicking dolphins
in an aquamarine sea...

‘neath a star-blossom sky(!)"

continuing applause for this 'penning' !!

Your picture postcard poetry is most inviting.

Love the places you take us to, Kacy!

Yo dear Kacy,

Mexico is a wonderful country.  I’ve spent a lot of time doing engineering work in the Tampico area.  I found the people to be wonderfully kind, and I have many good friends there.  One of them has come to visit here in Philadelphia.

I could never really get into the Margheritas though, too much work to do.

I don't think you ever get to know a nation until you have worked there with the people.

I've been lucky enough to work in many countries.

Love Bobby
