             Page Fright

I hate to let them go
             they are mine
             a part of this identity
this fragile being who contains them
             holds them dear teaches them
             guards them closely
pets them when they need it
             feeds them regularly
breathes with them sleeps with them
             all alone

If I let them go where will they go
will they get lost in the cluttered crowd
of so many other letters and phrases
             will anyone recognize them
             understand their dialect
             if they interpret them
             what will they say then
             what will the message be
             or be only sounds
             musical perhaps or discordant
like birds singing in the trees
or of steel clacking on steel
who will read who will hear
do I dare ask do I want to know
             it could be anyone
             almost anywhere
             and then they would know

             Do I dare?

I just love that thought and the possibilities that come to mind.

Kind of like beauty being in the eye of the beholder,
a diamond in the rough is beautiful too.

Yo Krawdad,

Yeah, stage fright is like that.  You're always a little bit afraid to let it all go.

I always try to think a good snarl, and dare anyone to say anything.  Then I let it march out.

Bravely release them, let them sail the winds of chance.
I enjoyed this piece very much, poet.

And then, yes, you will dare.
You will let them go because someone else needs them, and you need to share. You've described the feeling well!

Dare to share! They are gifts and always find the way into the hearts of those who needed to know!

Beautifully rendered hesitation, dear Krawdad.

Love,
Margherita

They come to life when shared, Krawdad.
