A memory comes out of the shadows
Her father shooting dice
on the checkered linoleum floor
Ivory cubes bouncing off of the stove
Landing by her knees
Baby just got a
new pair of shoes

I need some new shoes too But unless the dice are  fixed, I don't think I'll get any. Never been lucky like that.
